The Basketball Tournament
Scope of Work Accomplished:
As the sole event photographer for the Wheeling, WV Regional in the summer of 2023 for The Basketball Tournament (TBT), I was responsible for capturing comprehensive visual coverage across eight games in seven days, delivering real-time imagery for social, media, and team distribution.
TBT is a nationally recognized, high-stakes summer basketball tournament, and my role required a balance of live sports photography, branded content capture, and rapid in-game editing workflows.
In-Game Action Photography – Captured high-intensity basketball moments including dunks, defensive stops, celebrations, and crowd reactions.
Posed & Feature Imagery – Produced player portraits, team photos, and post-game visuals.
Branding & Sponsorship Photography – Documented sponsor activations, signage, and branded integrations throughout the venue.
Real-Time Editing & Delivery – Culled, edited, and uploaded images during games for immediate use.
Multi-Channel Distribution Support – Provided content for tournament social media, participating team accounts, and credentialed local media outlets.
Operating as the only photographer for the event required strong game awareness, file management efficiency, and high-speed post-production skills to ensure key moments were delivered within minutes of capture.
By combining live event photography, sports marketing visuals, and rapid turnaround media workflows, I helped power the tournament’s digital presence while supplying teams and media with timely, high-quality imagery.
